We rely on volunteers like you to help sort, package and distribute healthy food to people in need in Marin.

Each year, volunteers contribute thousands of hours to fighting hunger in our community. This support will enable us to distribute 45 million pounds of food in Marin and San Francisco. This is the equivalent of enough food for over 102,000 meals each day.

• Volunteering at the Food Bank is a great team-building opportunity.  We are able to accommodate groups of all sizes over one or multiple project shifts.

Children are welcome too!
The volunteer age limit is currently 11 yrs and up during weekday shifts. The age limit on Saturdays is 4 years old. Each elementary school student must be accompanied by an adult to ensure safety in our busy warehouse.

All volunteer projects take place at our warehouse at 75 Digital Drive in Novato.  We do ask volunteers to arrive promptly and commit to the entire duration of the project shift. Projects can be scheduled on a one-time or ongoing basis, and do not require a prior orientation meeting—they’re all done-in-a-day.
