Volunteer shifts are available throughout the year in our warehouse. Please visit our volunteer page for more information and scheduling options.

ORGANIZE A FOOD DRIVE

... at your place of worship, civic group, school, business or neighborhood. The need for food goes on all year. We furnish posters, collection containers, a list of the most needed food items and take home bags for individuals to fill. On-going food drives are great and give us a constant source of food supplies.

STEP 2—Notify us of your donation

Due to privacy concerns, your bank will not tell us that you have made a stock donation to the Food Bank. In order for us to send your tax receipt letter in a timely fashion and confirm that your stock was transferred, please be sure to notify us of your donation.

Designate us to receive your donation through campaigns conducted in your workplace, in the five Bay Area counties between September and December of each year. You can designate the MARIN FOOD BANK through any of the following campaigns!

CONTACT YOUR FRIENDS IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY
ON OUR BEHALF.

Ask them to donate any excess inventory of food or household products to Marin Food Bank. Our county has very few food brokers, suppliers, wholesalers or manufacturers and your contacts can be a tremendous help to us in serving those in need in Marin. If you have questions concerning this, call 415-883-1302 and speak to the Executive Director.

PLANT A ROW FOR US IN YOUR GARDEN!

Quality, fresh produce in the peak of freshness is always needed at the Food Bank. In consideration of the folks we're trying to help, please bring in your zucchini, etc., before it weighs ten pounds!

DONATE YOUR PAPER GROCERY BAGS:

We use 5000 bags per month for our programs, so every donation counts!

Decorate Brown Paper Grocery Bags
 for food distribution to seniors, Compassion in Action clients and shut-ins. This is a great project for school children! Decorated bags are a hit with food recipients. We can use 500 every month. Please do not decorate with watercolor or chalk that may come off on someone's clothing when they are carrying their food home. Call 415-883-1302 if you have any questions.

PAPER = FOOD

You can help feed the hungry in Marin by simply buying something you use anyway. Each time you buy a case of Give Something Back 30% or 100% post-consumer recycled paper, GSB, Inc. and Boise, Inc. donate $1 to Marin Food Bank. The $1 can provide much needed protein for up to 4 meals.
